HOW WE GENERATED 100K+ VIEWS: WITH 1 PIECE OF CONTENT

2 min readFeb 19, 2018

The proof of the pudding is in the eating.

So let’s get that out of the way first.

You can follow the links below to view the content pieces and verify my claim.

Source = Webinar (100 participants)

So, now that we have that out of our way, here’s how it happened.

The key is in re-purposing your golden content.

It’s is one of the main techniques we used at NEN to generate quality content for the Entrepreneur Academy blog.

In this instance we started with a webinar. We saw the participants asking lot of questions and sharing experiences at the end of the webinar. We knew we had a winner here.

Once the webinar is over, we shared the recordings for anyone who missed it.

After a few days, we converted the content of the session into a blog post.

This is where the magic started to happen. The post got thousands of views and a fair amount of Social Shares.

Next, we created a SlideShare out of this blog post.

A good SlideShare presentation has immense potential of going viral. In this event, we were featured on the home page, and the presentation has delivered 97K+ views so far.

So as you can see, with this one trick we were able to attract 1,00,000+ views with a single piece of source content and counting.

Let me emphasize that this is not a one hit wonder.

This technique was one of the a key element of our traffic building strategy when I was working with NEN.

Re-purposing combined with some other techniques have enabled us to go from zero to near a million views in just over a year.

Do you have a tip that worked well for you?

Do share in the comments section.

P.S: I am transiting to Medium as my main blogging platform to keep things simple. You may see some of the older posts earlier published on my blog. I apologize for that.
